Do you like reading? Are you a stickler for correct grammar and spelling? Then maybe writing book reviews and editing articles is something you could do from home.
When buying a book, you often read reviews about it on the back pages. Hundreds and thousands of books are published every day, some good and some not so good. Some don’t even make it to the printing press because they are no good enough. If you consider yourself a reader and a good critic, then why not set yourself up as a book reviewer. As a book reviewer you are sent different books, articles and journals to read and give your unbiased opinions.
This is something you can do from the comfort of your own home and in your own time. Often the reviews need to be submitted over the internet so there really is no need for leaving the home at all. If you enjoy doing the book reviews then you can expand on this idea and set yourself up as a home editor. But as an editor you will need to be available at nights and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines if you are working for a paper or magazine. There are many opportunities available in the field of editing and reviewing, the more experience you gain, the more your name becomes known in your area and you are able to get more business. This is a relatively easy job to do for someone who likes reading and always has something to say, you take on as much as you can and work according to your pace; an ideal job to do from home.
